COLLEGIATE RECOVERY COMMUNITY
Georgia State University's Counseling Center is collaborating with the CRC Student Organization, in addition to staff, faculty, alumni and nearby neighbors to establish an official Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) on campus. The CRC will offer various support programs designed to help students in recovery maintain their health and excel academically.
Weekly in-person socially distanced substance-use recovery meetings are open to Georgia State students and the larger community on Tuesday thru Friday. The meetings are in Student Center West Rm 482. Students and staff may email [email protected] to learn more about these resources and how to get involved.
Come check out the following meetings:
Panthers Recover All Recovery & Wellness
Wednesdays and Fridays, 5-6 p.m.
These meetings create a safe space for mutual support where we can share our addiction and mental health recovery experiences with an emphasis on hope and healing for ourselves and each other.
Coming together we create an inclusive place free from judgement and stigma to support us on our individual as well as our collective journeys to health and wellness.
Our stories have power! We believe there are many lifesaving as well as life enhancing solutions that help us initiate and sustain our individual lives in recovery.
If you're unable to join in person, you're welcome to join by zoom:
Scheduled Recovery check-ins:
These check-ins will provide a scheduled time where individuals in recovery and their Recovery Coach can "check in" on their progress and talk about recovery in an open manner. These person-centered, self-directed check-ins are facilitated by a Certified Recovery Specialist who has lived experience and recovery from addictions and mental health diagnoses. Email [email protected] for scheduling.
Check us out on social media as well!
